Cancer Recovery & Healing Retreat Scotland

Wild Hope Retreat 2026

For people recovering from and living with cancer - wherever you are in your journey who need respite,
connection, and gentle support to restore hope and find moments
of peace amidst the storm.

30 OCT-1 NOV 2026 (AND HELD EVERY YEAR)

A space to reconnect, restore, and find courage. You don’t need to be well enough for a holiday. You just need to be ready for a weekend that holds you.

A healing weekend in stunning Scotland, designed for those living with or

recovering from cancer; a space to reconnect, restore, and find courage.

You just need to come as you are. We have experienced practitioners and clear support systems in place so you can feel safe, supported, and looked after at every stage.

Nourish, Restore, Transform

• Gentle, cancer-informed walks and Pilates to rebuild strength and energy.

• Guided meditations to calm anxiety and reignite hope.

• Sharing circles to connect and feel seen.

• Creative practices to spark joy. Unlock expression beyond words.

• Restful time to breathe, reflect, and simply be.

• A weekend designed to nurture body, mind, and spirit, leaving you renewed long after, leaving a lasting imprint, not just a memory.

Retreat highlights:

• Rest deeply and release anxiety

• Feel truly seen and connected

• Rediscover hope, courage, and lightness

• Build resilience for life beyond the retreat.

• Move gently and reclaim your body

• Anchor in the present, leave the “what ifs” behind

• Play, create, and awaken joy

• Take home tools to sustain your wellbeing long  after the weekend

“The retreat has been absolutely life-changing. I came in feeling stuck and overwhelmed, and I’m leaving with

clarity, confidence, and a deep sense of self-love. The best gift I’ve ever given myself.”

Paul, Retreat Attendee

Hug-The-Cactus-Oct24_022
Nestled in the rolling openness of Dumfries and Galloway, this beautifully restored former manse is an expansive sanctuary designed for rest, reconnection, and quiet joy. Light pours into generous shared spaces, offering room to gather in gentle reflection as well as peaceful nooks for solitude when you’d like to journal, read, or simply be.

Step outside into expansive skies and fresh air, where a bubbling hot tub encourages slow moments and gentle exhaling. Inside, spacious living areas for relaxing, mindful meditations and Pilates, a long dining table creates the perfect setting for nourishing meals and shared warmth, while still offering that deep sense of personal space and calm.

A place to arrive gently. To feel held, not hurried. To restore and soak in the good quietly, and with heart.

“I thought I knew what transformation meant, but I’ve never experienced anything this powerful in my life. It was incredible!”

Susan, Retreat Attendee

What’s the

difference between a holiday and a retreat?

It’s common people get a bit mixed up on what the difference is and it is profound.  Click on this video to listen to Ange explain how retreats differ from holidays, why we hold ourselves back, and how saying yes can change everything.

“When you come back from holiday it fades straight away. A retreat is a space to come back to yourself, to feel fulfilled and with clarity on how you want to love your life”.

Why Choose Our Retreats?

Our retreats aren’t ‘just’ holidays. They’re held journeys.

From your first conversation to months after you return home, you’re fully supported.

Held in a safe and welcoming space our evidence-based practices are rooted in neuroscience and compassionate psychology to help you make the changes you want in your life.  Expert facilitation from Ange, who genuinely understands what it means to transform with over 30 years of experience, not escape temporarily.

Wild Hope is one of the few cancer recovery retreats in Scotland offering this level of specialist, evidence-based, psychotherapy-informed support. You won’t find a tick-box wellness programme here. This is real, relational, deeply human work and you will feel the difference.

• Small, intimate groups for truly personal bespoke attention – so you are always seen, never lost in a crowd.

• Every activity is optional, thoughtfully crafted, and inclusive. We welcome all genders, ethnicities, abilities, neurodivergent individuals, and LGBTQ+ community members. You are fully welcome here, exactly as you are.

• Expert facilitation with over 30 years’ experience

• A balance of comfort, adventure, and deep care. Your retreat journey doesn’t end when you leave. It’s a fully held experience -from your first hello to the lasting ripple long after you return home.

Your retreat journey isn’t just a moment in time, it’s a fully held experience, curated to support, guide, and amplify your growth from your first hello to the lasting ripple after you return home.

Places are limited. Invest in your happiness, invest in your wellbeing, because you are worth it.

PSYCHOTHERAPIST · MINDFUL COMPASSION COACH · RETREAT FACILITATOR

As a professional psychotherapist, mindful compassion coach, and facilitator with over 30 years of experience, I bring a deep understanding of both individual and group needs. Intuitive, compassionate, and grounded, I’m here to guide you every step of the way towards greater happiness, resilience, and self-awareness.
