This valuable one day course is aimed at people who are experiencing stress in their lives. It enables participants to learn more about the causes and symptoms of stress and to develop skills to manage stress more effectively.

The course is designed to enable each participant to:

arrow Be able to identify the causes and nature of stress
arrow Be aware of the behavioural, emotional, mental and physical effects of stress
arrow Recognise the effects of stress on your relationships and quality of life
arrow Learn how to gain control of your life
arrow Develop five essential skills for managing stress more effectively

• Awareness of how it affects me
• The value of early warning signs
• Skills for taking control
• Skills for managing stress more effectively
• Clarifying what’s important
• Being proactive – taking responsibility
• Language – self hypnosis
• Self care and relaxation
• Support networks
• Fun

The course is led by an experienced trainer and is backed up by a course booklet. It is highly practical, experiential and also aims to be fun. An evaluation form is given to participants on completion of the course. All participants receive a certificate of attendance on completion of the course.

A free 30 minute follow-up consultation is offered to course participants to re-evaluate and review course work if required.
